Overview
L&I Investigator 4 – Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. Base pay range : $73,284.00 / yr - $96,144.00 / yr.
Duties
- Supervises lower level investigators and directs all aspects of investigation activities on behalf of the CSCPS division statewide.
- Performs investigation activities and serves as principal liaison and regional / statewide advisor to leadership, Attorney General's office staff, and other stakeholders on matters involving industrial insurance fraud, theft, or other wrongdoing.
- Lead, guide, and direct surveillance activities, evidence collection, analyze referrals, monitor investigative progress, and ensure completed staff work.
- Coordinate with claims staff, investigators, AAGs, prosecutors, auditors, revenue agents and others to support the mission of the Fraud Prevention and Labor Standards Division at L&I.
- Provide expert guidance on statewide investigation activities for complex civil and criminal allegations of economic benefit fraud by injured workers and providers, claim suppression, and evading taxes and premiums due from businesses.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Required
Four years of experience as an Investigator 3 within State service, at least one year of which must have been as a supervisor or lead.OR six years of experience as an investigator with a criminal justice government agency or private organization, with four years of field experience.Possession of a valid and unrestricted driver's license.Preferred

Teleworking is one work schedule option; the role may require in-office presence. Assigned duty station : Everett, WA; expect at least 2 days in the office per week.
