Opportunity :

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details :

  • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Weekend rotation and holiday rotation required
  • No call responsibilities
  • Patient ratio of 1 : 5 in PCU setting
  • 2 years of nursing experience required, first-time travelers accepted
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
  • Cardiac telemetry experience required with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Must have experience with PCU patient ratios and responsibilities
  • Skills include peripheral line care / management, PICC line management, and titrating drips
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
  • Subject to floating between all campuses as needed
  • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • 36 hours of orientation provided
  • Care for adult patients with stroke backup, renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and hematological disorders
  • Work in 34-bed general medical progressive care unit with cardiac surveillance and centralized monitoring
  • Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date

    This healthcare facility operates a 34-bed general medical progressive care unit with all telemetry monitored beds providing comprehensive cardiac surveillance. The facility features a centralized cardiac monitoring department that provides continuous surveillance for patients. The organization offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
