Job Title : Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) – Site Safety Manager III
Position Type : Contract
Location : Columbia Generating Station – Pardeeville, WI
Summary :
The Site Safety Manager oversees all safety and health aspects during a construction plant outage . This person ensures contractors follow safety programs, laws, and regulations, conducts safety inspections and audits, and reports compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor construction and contractor activities for safety compliance.
- Conduct safety observations, audits, and inspections.
- Review and approve contractor safety plans.
- Attend project and safety meetings.
- Prepare daily safety and incident reports.
- Report directly to the Corporate Construction Safety Manager.
Requirements :
Education : Bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field (experience may substitute).Certifications : CSP, ASP, CHST, OSHT, GSP, or similar (BCSP accredited).Experience :5+ years in construction safety.5+ years in a supervisory safety role.Owner-representative experience preferred.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Valid driver’s license.
