Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Opportunity : RN - IMC

Job Details :

  • Work in new Intermediate Care unit as part of the Float Pool
  • ICU RN experience required
  • Care for Med / Surg, PCU, and ICU patient populations
  • Expected patient ratio is 1 : 3
  • May float to other Stepdown and Med / Surg units as needed but will not likely float to critical care units
  • Perform procedures including A-line, Bair Hugger System, FMS Systems, IV Insulin, IV Infusion / Endo, Stable DKA, IPAP, Non-Invasive Ventilation, Telemetry, Peripheral Cath Withdrawals
  • No phlebotomy responsibilities
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under physician direction
  • Use nursing process to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Direct nursing support staff according to standards of practice and policies
  • Graduate of accredited nursing school required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 year experience in clinical specialty area preferred
  • PA or MSL Compact Registered Nurse License required
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • Additional certifications may be required per specialty area

The organization is expanding its intermediate care capabilities by adding a new IMC unit to better serve patients requiring specialized monitoring and care between general medical floors and intensive care units.
