CORPORATE MERCHANDISER (FT/OKC)

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED AS A CORPORATE MERCHANDISER :

• Ensure items are priced correctly and displayed in designated showrooms accurately.
• Create, maintain, and enter product information into the retail software system as well as vendor information.
• Place purchase orders for products based on sales projections.
• Collaborate with designers, manufacturers, suppliers, and ownership to ensure a consistent and high-quality product offering.
• Input / track orders and resolve delivery issues through cross-functional communication with vendors and distribution centers.
• Maintain a close pulse on trends and customer needs to identify new assortment opportunities. Find products that deliver compelling newness and have potential to be tomorrow’s best sellers.
• Answer sales questions about products, prices, and availability.
• Recommend advertising opportunities based on inventory levels.
• Inspect damaged merchandise and make informed decisions on pricing and where to place merchandise as needed.
• Conduct monthly walkthroughs to Mathis Home and Ashley stores to obtain feedback to improve product performance / sales.
• Work closely with factory representatives to discuss sales, parts, orders, and resolve any product issues.
• Assist with periodic inventory counts.
• Assist with monthly category reporting.
• Help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs.
• Own the financial outcomes for the performance of the products placed in stores.
• Regularly assess performance and revise assortment and floor space allocation strategy as needed.
• Any other duties as directed by management.

• EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS AS A CORPORATE MERCHANDISER : Ability to lift merchandise of 20 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members;

positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures. Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS : To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following : Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing / listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work : Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, and / or up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects.
