Job descriptionScreenings : 38-45 daily average Diagnostics : 10-12 daily average Biopsies : Weekly average of 2 stereotactic and 5 ultrasound-guided breast biopsies Volume varies day-to-day, offering procedural variety Flexible practice split : either 70% mammography / 30% general diagnostic or the reverse, based on physician preference The group staffs two outpatient breast centers, two imaging centers, and one hospital Weekday general call : One week every 8 weeks, from 5 : 00 PM to 8 : 00 AM the next morning Evenings are staffed, so being called in or staying past 5 : 00 PM is very rare Weekend general call : One in eight weekends, onsite Saturday & Sunday from 8 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM Weekend evenings are covered remotely, so staying late is uncommon Total practice size : 10 physicians (including 4 Interventional Radiologists) Mammography group : 4 radiologists, with plans to add 1-2 who read mammograms full-time or part-time Hiring 2 additional full-time breast imaging radiologists to support increased volume and upcoming retirements within the next 2 years Guaranteed Starting Base Salary : 550,000 a year, potential for additional earned compensation Sign-on Bonus : $100,000 Relocation : up to $15,000 Student Loan repayment : $100,000 Internal Moonlighting opportunities available Vacation : 8 weeks 1st year, 10 weeks 2nd year and 12 weeks 3rd year Partnership Track : 2 years Total Earning Potential / Salary structure once partner : $750,000-$900,000+ Medical Insurance paid in full for radiologist & dependents Dental & Vision Insurance offered Paid Malpractice Insurance 401k Profit Sharing company contributes max allowed Paid Vacation - 8 weeks first two years and then 12 weeks a year starting year 3 Professional expenses $3,000 annual reimbursement Medical expense reimbursement $ 2500 for out-of-pocket medical expenses per year Opportunity to participate in deferred compensation plan through district hospital (put away 100k+ a year pre-taxed ) Eligible for Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), in addition to loan repayment mentioned above
Mineral King Radiological Medical Group
Mineral King Radiological Medical Group is a private practice in Visalia thats been around for over 50 years and has 10 partnered radiologists. Mineral King is associated with Kaweah Health Medical Center which is a 581-bed hospital with level III trauma designation. They staff the main hospital and their outpatient imaging center as well as their own outpatient imaging center. The group also owns their own outpatient interventional radiology center.

Position : Breast Imaging Radiologist
We are seeking a board eligible or board-certified Breast Imaging Radiologist with experience in screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast biopsies, and breast MRI.
- MQSA certification is required .
- Breast Imaging Fellowship is preferred but not mandatory .

Mineral King Radiological Medical Group is located in the Central Valley, in the heart of California. The group prides itself on providing a great life - work balance, where your evenings are free to spend with friends and family and many exciting activities close by for the weekends. Visalia is the gateway to the Sequoia National Park, home to the General Sherman, the world's largest tree. Only 1-2 hours away from both the Sequoia National Park and Yosemite National Park. It would take years to complete all the possible hikes, as well as other outdoor activities, like boating, caving, mountain bike trails, snow sledding and skiing. Visalia is located 3 hours South of San Francisco and 2.5 hours North of Los Angeles. There are many coastal towns to enjoy as well, with easy day trip access.
