Our Home Health Aide (HHA) is an essential member of the health care team who works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and performs various services for a client as necessary to meet the client’s plan of care and assist with activities of daily living. The HHA is responsible for observing clients, reporting and documenting observations, and care functions performed. The HHA shall be assigned a suitable client with the main goal of promoting the quality, continuity, and safety of our clients based on your skill set.
Responsibilities:
Assistance with Daily Living: Helping clients with activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Medication Reminders: Ensuring clients take medications on time and in the correct dosage.
Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
Light Housekeeping: Performing light cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
Transportation: Accompanying clients to medical appointments or running errands (vehicle ownership or license not required).
Monitoring Health: Tracking vital signs and reporting changes to medical professionals or family members.
Companionship: Providing emotional support and engaging clients in activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of care provided and observations made.
Communication: Updating supervisors and family members on client condition and progress.
Safety Awareness: Ensuring client safety, including fall prevention and readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications:
• HHA certification in Washington, D.C. (CNA - DC is preferred but not required)
• Clear criminal background check
• Must possess TB test, CPR, and First Aid certificates
• Minimum 6 months of experience in providing personal care and assistance
• Current CPR/BLS certification, COVID-19 vaccination, & Chest X-Ray or Negative PPD/TB Test
• Valid driver's license (and/or reliable transportation) or Valid State ID
• Two clinical references from supervisors with at least six months of experience
• Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9)
• Compassionate and patient with a strong sense of empathy
• Excellent communication skills
