Position summary : Project team member responsible for providing project oversight for an exterior envelope rehab project using knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute assignments as necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives defined by the client, ensuring work is performed and completed in strict accordance with the contract documents, acting as a technical advisor to the owner and other team members, teaching and mentoring less experienced engineers and other team members, and other tasks as may be required. Responsible for delivering for assigned projects including scope, schedule and budget. Compensation for this position is $145,000.00 - $165,000.00 commensurate with experience, education and certifications. Essential functions and responsibilities include developing project management plans (PMP) for assigned projects, providing construction management oversight during all phases of the project, creating and maintaining project schedules, preparing and updating cost estimates, preparing and maintaining project budgets, developing and implementing project specific QA programs, managing sub-consultants and technical resources, coordinating and interfacing with the client and project team, preparing bid packages and assisting with contractor procurement, developing and coordinating project scopes, overseeing and managing assigned staff, preparing, monitoring and updating schedules and budgets, developing and preparing extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals, reviewing and approving contractor invoicing, participating in client presentations, and coordinating and assisting section heads, office managers, and practice leaders with marketing proposals. Nonessential functions and responsibilities include performing other related duties as assigned. Required skills include strong in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and strong work ethic. Required experience includes OSHA 30 hour certification (or must obtain within first 30 days of employment) and 7+ years' experience working as a construction project manager. Preferred experience includes bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural or a related field from an accredited engineering, construction management or architectural program, experience working with NYC Public Agencies, CCM or PMP certificate, LEED AP certification, experience working with city, county state or federal governmental agencies, project management experience, and experience managing multidiscipline project teams. Work is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required.
