Job Description
The IS Clinical Applications Specialist is responsible for providing ongoing complex system support, administration, maintenance, training, and upgrades of assigned clinical computer application(s) throughout the health system. Reports to department leadership.
Works collaboratively with department management or representatives and vendors to ensure utilization of the application meets business needs and is aligned with goals and objectives.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant combination of education and experience necessary. Previous healthcare information systems project / implementation experience preferred. Cerner and / or Epic experience a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills required. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal skills necessary. Must be highly self-motivated and flexible while able to accept direction with the completion of tasks. Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks as well as the ability to meet deadlines required. Strong project management skills necessary.
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and the like with exception of visits to the computer room.
