Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join a dynamic team that works on high-profile and diverse projects. In this role, you'll analyze project specifications, develop accurate cost estimates, and assist in budget preparation to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Prepare estimates for construction projects by gathering information and calculating costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
- Conduct quantity takeoff and assess labor and material costs for accuracy.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Maintain a well-organized database of cost estimates and budgets for future reference.
- Prepare and present cost estimation reports and narratives to stakeholders.
Qualifications
2-7 years of experience in construction, architecture, or building systems.Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe.Knowledge of budgeting and financial principles.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Experience with commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects is preferred.Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.Familiarity with building system designs and architectural estimating.Benefits
