Job Responsibilities
Schedule : Monday-Thursday 8 : 30-5 : 30, Friday 8 : 00-2 : 00 and rotating Saturdays as needed, usually one every five weeks.
Job Responsibilities
The Insurance Team Leader provides daily support to the Member Services Department to serve internal and external customers.
- Fill in for Office staff during high volume periods and while staff are away, which includes :
- Answering clinic and member phone calls
- Processing eligibility records
- Reconciling payments
- Collaborate with leadership and IT on technical challenges and process improvements to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Provide technical training and support for the team.
- Documents workflow changes and assists Associate Manager with training and roll out.
- Configures benefit data for entry into the insurance system software, including group master files and fee schedules.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate adjudication of claims for providers inside and outside of Dental Associates.
- Is a liaison between IT, sales and member services and the clients for the initial set up, ongoing processing, and troubleshooting of HIPAA 834 electronic enrollments, ACH transfers, and the Skygen portal.
- Creates and maintains documentation, including HIPAA 834 Companion Guides.
- Responsible for department and client reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Obtain Wisconsin Insurance License within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of two years of customer service, dental or insurance experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Detail orientation, with ability to problem solve and handle multiple projects.
- Ability to investigate complex technical issues and to work independently and within a team.
- Proficient at root cause analysis, acting on findings to prevent future challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interactions with internal and external customers.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner.
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office products.
