Title : X-Ray Technologist
Location : Portland, OR
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day Shift, 3x12-hour (07 : 00 – 19 : 00); weekends required (Sunday & Monday 08 : 00–20 : 30); minimum 1 on-call shift per month
Job Responsibilities :
Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams in various settings including adult acute care, ICU, emergency department, NICU, and operating room.
Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment such as GE, O-ARM, PACS, Carestream, and Fuji systems.
Conduct fluoroscopy studies and contrast procedures (e.g., barium swallow, upper GI series, contrast enema).
Prepare and administer contrast media safely following radiation protection standards.
Assist in surgical and portable imaging procedures using C-arm and mobile X-ray units.
Accurately position patients for exams including chest, spine, extremities, abdomen, and pelvis.
Maintain proper documentation and image quality within the Epic charting system.
Follow departmental protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with imaging standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills :
Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent X-ray technologist experience
Certifications : ARRT (R) and BLS required
Licensure : Active or pending Oregon Radiologic Technologist License
Charting System : Epic experience required
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in fluoro and OR imaging (required)
Experience with portable and C-arm procedures
Ability to perform imaging across patient populations including neonates to geriatrics
Equipment Experience : GE, O-ARM, PACS, Carestream, Fuji
Preferred Qualifications and Skills : \nExperience in Level I Trauma Centers or teaching hospitals\nO-ARM experience strongly preferred\nFamiliarity with high-volume radiology departments (150–200 exams / day weekdays)
