AWS Infrastructure Lead — Our Client

Role Summary

Our Client is hiring an AWS Infrastructure Lead to own and evolve the cloud foundation that powers our flagship SaaS platform for Threat-Informed Defense.

You'll be the hands-on technical leader who designs, builds, and operates secure, reliable, and cost-efficient AWS infrastructure—with Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK)—and partners closely with engineering to deliver high-quality software quickly.

This role reports to Our Client's leadership team and is ideal for a low-ego, startup-minded builder who thrives on ambiguity and “creating something out of nothing.”

Tech stack & tools : Material UI, React, Python / Django, Postgres, Docker, and AWS. We use GitHub, Jira / Confluence, and Slack to help build the product.

Key Responsibilities

• First 90 Days : “Find issues that we didn't know we had and provide solutions.”
• First Year : “Find issues that we didn't know we had and provide solutions.”
• Own and evolve Our Client's AWS infrastructure for a multi-tenant SaaS product.
• Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code with AWS CDK across accounts / environments.
• Build and maintain automated CI / CD workflows for infrastructure and application delivery (Git-driven).
• Stand up and operate Docker-based runtime environments; ensure scalable, reliable services.
• Implement strong security, identity, and networking baselines (IAM, VPCs, encryption, secrets).
• Establish observability (logging / metrics / tracing), SRE practices, and incident response routines.
• Manage data platform operations for Postgres (e.g., backups, performance, HA / DR).
• Drive cost visibility and optimization (FinOps) across AWS resources.
• Partner with engineering on environment strategy, developer experience, and release quality.
• Contribute to compliance-readiness aligned with Agency Public Trust expectations.
