Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Substation Electrician is responsible for the maintenance, testing, inspection, installation, removal, and operation of substation high voltage conversion and distribution equipment, including :

• 12 kV AC switchgear
• 4 kV AC light and power switchgear
• 2.3 kV AC signal switchgear
• 1500 V DC rectifiers and switchgear
• High voltage transformers
• Motor-operated overhead disconnect switches
• Vacuum contactors
• Computer-based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) equipment

Additional duties include paperwork, inventory management, vehicle and tool maintenance, and any related tasks required to support organizational needs.

This is a Union position. Starting pay rates may vary based on entry rates in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
