Warehouse Supervisor OR
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the inventory management, work-order kitting, and distribution replenishment processes within the Warehouse department. Through the leadership and guidance of the Warehouse shift lead team, they coordinate and direct shift warehouse operations and personnel to ensure that quality work is performed in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for training warehouse personnel in safe and efficient warehouse operations
- Partners with the Health & Safety department to advance warehouse department safety programs and improve employee safety in the workplace
- Establishes and executes processes to ensure accuracy of all department functions
- Proactively monitors and measures warehouse department throughput and quality metrics
- Responsible for scheduling daily and weekly assignments for the shift leads and front-line warehouse team
- Responsible for taking necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observed
- Maintains communication with the department manager and shift leads on warehouse operational priorities and resource needs
- Partners with the Inventory Coordinator to improve inventory integrity, troubleshoot areas of concern, and leads the team through established cycle counting processes
- Leverages 5S and lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement processes
- Assists Plant Materials Manager in the annual development of department operating budget
- Other duties, as assigned
Education and Experience Required :
HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution1+ years of team or project leadership experience3+ years manufacturing experiencePrevious experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extra hours, as neededPreferred Education, Experience, and Skills :
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, maintenance, manufacturing, or related field3+ years supervisory experiencePrevious experience with implementing behavior-based safety programsPrevious knowledge of warehouse equipment and forklift training programsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skillsStrategic planning skillsStrong collaboration skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailPhysical Requirements :
