Job Description :

We are seeking an energetic and hands-on Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer to design, prototype, and test electromechanical systems;

In this position one will be at the forefront of design and development, taking ownership of the entire lifecycle of internally developed tools and equipment.

This pivotal role involves conceptualizing, designing, and refining solutions aimed at enhancing the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing processes.

Close collaboration with cross-functional teams will be necessary to gather requirements, translate them into innovative designs, and oversee the prototyping and testing phases.

The responsibilities of the role extend beyond design to encompass the maintenance and documentation of associated drawings, bill of materials, and experimental protocols.

Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while actively seeking opportunities for improvement will be paramount.

Job Requirements :

Independence is encouraged; teamwork is essential. Must be motivated and self-directed, yet eager to learn about projects across departments.

The position is part of a small, interdisciplinary team, and regular interactions will require clear communication of findings and ideas, an ability to focus on precise execution of detailed protocols, and a desire to work along-side group members to achieve our common goals.

Requirements for success in this role include (education & experience) :

  • Creating multiple iterations of design prototypes using computer-aided design tools
  • Produce detailed component and assembly drawings.
  • Conduct rigorous usability tests and modify the product based on the test results.
  • Management of supply chain, including part fabrication, component selection, and assembly
  • Execute work to meet program deadlines, including setting and tracking of related goals.
  • Closely adhere to appropriate safety and environmental regulations. Create a safety-first mentality among all participants in Redbud’s applications activities.
  • Keep the lab running smoothly : identify and resolve issues related to management of vendors and contractors.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering minimum (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or similar)
  • 2+ years of engineering experience including design and manufacturing.
