Position description
The Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences (http : / / radonc.ucsd.edu ) within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientists to join the Advani Lab.
The Project Scientists will make significant and creative contributions to a research or creative project in their academic discipline. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigators, the Project Scientists will function independently, and the role includes :
5) writing scientific reports, manuscripts, and grants for submission and / or publication.
Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications
(required at time of application)
Candidates must have a PhD in cancer biology or other related disciplines, an MD or equivalent, or an MD / PhD.
Candidate must have 1+ years of demonstrated experience in DNA damage assays, radiosensitization studies, and mouse tumor modeling.
Candidates must have at least 1+ relevant co-authored publications in a peer-reviewed journal.
Preferred qualifications
2+ years of Postdoctoral experience that included pre-clinical studies involving radiation.
