The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise the housekeeping department and ensure that residents' rooms and common areas are safe, comfortable and maintained in an attractive manner.

As the Housekeeping Manager, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

• Responsible for ordering and monitoring all supplies
• Interview and train staff
• Creating schedule for staff, approving PTO
• Clean sinks, showers, toilets and other fixtures.
• Stock soap and paper products in bathrooms.
• Clean and dust surfaces including glass and mirrors.
• Vacuum carpet and sweep and mop floors.
• Deep clean resident's rooms and care areas.
• Infection control.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.

Education

• Must possess a minimum of a 10th grade education.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Experience

• Must have experience interacting with residents of this nature.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and uphold procedures to ensure all staff are trained and in compliance with this policy.
• Must be able to supply proof of COVID-19 Vaccination upon hire.

• Standing for extended periods of time.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively problem solve with other employees, all levels of the community staff, residents and their families and vendors.
• Must maintain a high standard of confidentiality and honesty
• Must be flexible to work hours necessary to complete the responsibilities of the job. Hours are governed by general needs of the community and census.
