LHH is partnering with a nonprofit in the Oklahoma City, OK area to fill an Accountant position! This is a direct hire position with standard business hours. Flexible work environment.

This role will support daily accounting operations, payroll, grants, and investment tracking. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across systems, improving processes, and contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Process payroll and manage accounts payable and reimbursements

Maintain vendor records and prepare ACH payments

Handle journal entries, cash receipts, and reconciliations

Coordinate grant payments and reconcile related expenses

Record investment activity and assist with tracking distributions

Support audit preparation and tax filings

Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2–4 years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience a plus)

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Excel

Experience with grants or large-scale payables

CPA preferred
