Job Description :

  • The host is the first point of contact for Guests and will set the tone for their dining experience.
  • They are essential in creating an enjoyable dining experience that we aim to provide at Ember.

Hosts must be friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable about the dining experience.    Essential Functions :

  • Warmly welcome Guests Intake new Guests for seating Use Toast to track open seats, clean & dirty tables, and seat guests Lead Guests to set tables Process cash transactions Process to-go orders Take orders in-person or over the phone Pack orders Assist servers with the following tasks based on workflow Setting tables Spot-cleaning the floor Clearing tables Perform additional duties as assigned   Minimum Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED certificate Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills Previous cash handling experience Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional Guest service; service oriented with a “Guests come first” mentality Possesses a friendly, outgoing, positive and enthusiastic attitude Ability to be professional and courteous with the general public Able to exercise good judgment while working both independently and collaboratively; works well in a team environment Able to work in a noisy and sometimes chaotic environment and be flexible under a variety of circumstances Punctual, neat, and accurate in work habits; precise and detail-oriented Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and extended schedules during peak periods The ability to adjust to business needs and display a sense or urgency during peak hours.  Valid ServSafe Food Handler’s Certificate Preferred Qualifications : 2 Years of previous host experience Physical Demands Able to move from place to place which may include standing and / or walking for extended periods of time Lift and carry 20 lbs short distances Dress Code : Black button-up and black pants, non-slip shoes   Pay Range : $17.00 / hr to $22.00 / hr + Tips Ember Korean BBQ is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and values diversity, inclusion and respect.
