Job Details
We’re looking to welcome an experienced Senior Associate or Counsel to our business immigration and compliance team. This position can be based anywhere in Connecticut with occasional travel to New Haven.
What You’ll Do :
Handle a wide range of employment-based immigration matters, including nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-1 / E-2) and immigrant (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3) visa petitions
Independently assess visa eligibility, identify regulatory risks, and develop custom strategies for clients across industries
Draft persuasive and complex filings, including RFE responses, PERM applications, and extraordinary ability petitions
Communicate directly with clients on timelines, strategy, and case developments
Conduct I-9, E-Verify, and visa compliance reviews, especially in connection with corporate M&A transactions and government inspections
Collaborate with colleagues while independently managing your own docket of time-sensitive matters
Use immigration case management tools and track billable hours efficiently
What We’re Looking For :
A J.D. and admission to any U.S. state bar (Connecticut preferred)
Extensive experience in business immigration, with the ability to lead and execute complex cases
Exceptional legal writing, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Familiarity with immigration compliance, due diligence, and regulatory review
A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to prioritize across competing deadlines
