Position Summary : The Patient Access Technician (PAT) is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for ensuring accurate patient admission and registration. This intermediate-level clerical position will allow you to apply your professional service-orientation, good judgment, and independent thinking in your daily work functions.

Responsibilities :

• Assure complete and accurate patient admissions / registrations.
• Obtain inpatient bed assignments and process inpatient admission.
• Pre-admit all scheduled inpatient, outpatients, and ambulatory patients.
• Complete comprehensive bedside or telephone interviews.
• Perform eligibility verification and resolve discrepancies.
