Program Associate for Communications

Description : The American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA) seeks accomplished, high-energy communications professional. They must have excellent research, writing, and communication skills. The Program Associate for Communications assists in the coordination of ACTA's communications efforts under the supervision of the Associate Director of Communications and the Vice President of Communications.

Applicant Qualifications / Skills

• A bachelor's degree relevant to communications, public relations, marketing, etc.
• 1-2 years of experience in the field
• Identifies and aligns with ACTA's core mission : promoting academic excellence, academic freedom, and accountability at America's colleges and universities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as needed, problem solve, and exercise sound decision-making
• Flexibility to take on projects on short notice as priorities shift, even when required to multitask
• Experience with WordPress or similar platforms is required
• Experience with Google Analytics is required
• Experience with Mailchimp, HubSpot, or a similar newsletter platform is preferred
• Graphic design experience is a strong plus

Positions responsibilities include :

This role is Washington, DC based, and applicants must be able to reliably commute to the ACTA office. Hybrid arrangements may be considered for exceptional candidates. The salary for this position is $48,000 to $55,000, depending on level of experience.
