Senior Accountant - Washington, DC

Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a dynamic and growing organization based in Washington, DC, in search of a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting the organization's financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and provide variance explanations to management
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual audit schedules and liaise with external auditors
• Assist in the development and monitoring of internal controls and accounting procedures
• Manage fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insight based on actual results and trends
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reporting
