Location :  This is a remote-first role based in the U.S. While we embrace flexible, distributed work, we also value in-person connection. Team members are expected to attend multiple company-wide and team-specific onsites throughout the year.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to become a key member of the Finance team.  This role is ideal for someone who enjoys finding new solutions, continually improving processes, thrives in a fast paced environment, and has a knack for detail.  We are looking for someone with experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) revenue recognition, contract management and general ledger activities.  This person's primary work experience will be in the commercial sector, not in the federal contracting or non-profit sectors.  We are already highly transaction-driven and use automation and innovation to drive operational efficiencies.  This person embraces technology, tools and process to get tasks done accurately and timely.  We are a start-up, so this person likes a fast-paced environment and views change as an opportunity, not an issue.

Responsibilities will include

• Manage GL close and account reconciliations
• Perform month end close - transactions, advanced reconciliations, journal entries and schedules
• Manage the record to report process in Netsuite, including financial statement reporting, implementing amortization schedules and best practices around the use of Netsutie.
• Manage the collections process for our customers - including implementing metrics that show how we're performing and potentially implementing a new tool to assist
• Assist with evaluating and implementing new tools and processes
• Assess impact of GAAP principles and implement them
• Assist with the annual audit
• Prepare monthly management reports
• Other ad hoc duties as needed
