JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Verbal Test Prep Content & Curriculum
- Lead the vision, research, and development of all Verbal-related curricula and instructional strategies for standardized tests (e.g., SAT, ACT Reading / Writing / Essay)
- Design and develop a proprietary Verbal curriculum for one-on-one tutors, ensuring content is adaptable for a custom study plan tailored to each student's needs
- Develop proprietary curriculum for one-day "Schools Out" test prep boot camps and intensive two-week summer boot camps focused on Verbal content and essential Strategy + Practice
- Build the Verbal component of a comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment that identifies the best-fit standardized test (SAT / ACT) for students and pinpoints key Verbal areas for growth
- Define and structure the Verbal-specific inputs and data models for the AI Test Prep Tutoring platform to ensure accurate content delivery and personalized learning pathways
- Create, review, and edit proprietary Verbal content (Reading Comprehension, Grammar / Punctuation, Essay rubrics), ensuring accuracy, pedagogical effectiveness, and alignment with test specifications
- Train tutors on effective One-on-One Instruction techniques that explain, encourage, and push students to grow in their Verbal understanding and confidence
QUALIFICATIONS
Perfect score on the Verbal section of the SAT or ACT requiredMinimum 5+ years professional work experience in test preparation, English / Verbal instruction, curriculum development, or a related educational fieldExperience working with students and families applying for admission to highly selective schools preferredDemonstrated expertise in English grammar, rhetorical strategies, and reading comprehension principles for standardized testsBachelor's Degree or higher (a degree in English, Linguistics, Communications, or Education is a strong plus)Quickly takes ownership of tasks and steps into leadership rolesAn ability to troubleshoot independently & problem solveClearance of all required background checksJob Posted by ApplicantPro
