Regional CDL B Driver (Overnight Travel)

Clean Harbors in Bristol, CT is seeking a Territory Class B Driver (Utility Driver) to provide primary route coverage for the assigned District as well as other Districts as needed to support vacation, sick time, and turnover.

• This position will operate Class B Tanker Truck, Box Trucks and or Lube Delivery Truck and travel up to 3 weeks out of the month on average with 1 week home.
• Ability to travel extensively, up to 3 weeks away from home.

Responsibilities for Internal Candidates :

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps).
• Operate a variety of Class B trucks.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service.
• Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements / regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Internal Candidates :

Required Qualifications :

• Valid Class B CDL.
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.

Position Details :

• This position is a regional float for locations in : Avon, Syracuse, Lackawanna, Cohoes and Bristol, CT. As a SSR you will Servicing parts washer, picking up containerized waste.
• Picking up additional waste.
• Will be selling other services. Class B Box truck.
• Picking up dirty solvent and replace with clean solvent.
• Can pick up paint waste, food products.
• Can be lightbulbs or anything that can’t go into a dumpster.
• Driver is fairly independent.
• Average 10-12 stops per day.
