TextNow is looking for a Senior Backend Software Developer to join our Customer Journey Team.

At TextNow, were on a mission to transform the telecom landscape by building a platform that powers tens of millions of calls and messages every day, driving innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences. Our Core Experiences Team is at the heart of this mission, designing and developing scalable, high?performance backend systems that serve our customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend services that power our high?traffic platform. Youll work with technologies like AWS, Golang, gRPC, Kubernetes, Terraform, and a microservice architecture to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. Additionally, youll be working with databases and event streaming platforms to handle high?volume data and real?time communication. Handling tens of millions of calls and messages daily, youll focus on keeping our platform fast, responsive, and highly available.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain backend services by designing and implementing functionality for new & existing microservices
• Work with front?end teams and product to build delightful customer experiences
• Maintain a high bar of quality for the team, producing readable code, writing testable code, refactoring legacy systems, and actively contributing to development standards and cross?team architectural reviews
• Participate in a rotating on?call schedule, responsible for service uptime, availability of critical functions, and performing root?cause analysis of incidents to identify steps toward lasting remediation
• Organize and communicate the technical details of upcoming projects through our architectural review process
