Job Description
Our client is a World Class Tier I automotive supplier of CNC machined parts to the OEM's. They currently have need to fill 3 Maintenance Supervisor positions in their large Fort Wayne, IN plant.
The successful candidate will have a maintenance and maintenance supervision background in a high volume general or automotive environment.
SUMMARY
Experienced professional in maintenance supervision strategies. Ability to apply technical knowledge to management processes.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED :
- 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or 5 years maintenance experience and a Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance , continuous improvement, predictive / preventive maintenance programs, and proven effectiveness in MTTF ( Mean Time To Repair ) / MTBF ( Mean Time Between Failures ) reductions would be a plus .
- Technical experience of Journeymen level would be a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to appropriately assess and manage risk factors.
- Self-motivated, effective oral and written communication and presentation skills, along with good organizational skills.
- Experience in managing a maintenance group of several different trades groups.
- Must have the ability to work off shift and work overtime and weekends as required. Note : Position pays bonus and overtime for authorized work on weekends.
- Ability to travel for education, training, and maintenance department representation for DOS or sister plant workshops.
- Must have excellent attendance record.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Kanban.
- Must be able to lead projects.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate maintenance activities as directed by Lead Supervisor .
- Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by the Preventative Maintenance program;
testing systems and equipment, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty components and parts.
- Assist in all items associated with the quality, production, safety and DOS programs.
- Manage a unionized skilled trade, and plant services of 50+ employees.
- Maintains high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance.
- Monitor employee attendance and assist in maintaining attendance records along with maintaining discipline within the departments.
- Maintain daily timekeeping, EMAINT (CMMS System) orders, and all records in regards to the maintenance program.
- Ensure all equipment is in safe working order.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with local and federal codes and regulations.
MISCELLANEOUS :
- Assist in process improvements.
- Desire to become a manager.
Hydraulic background a plus.
