Boxer Property is searching for a qualified Handyman that will be responsible for the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of various projects and components in the Fort Worth area.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Perform a variety of skilled plumbing and electrical activities associated with the maintenance and repair of facilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and a variety of plumbing fixtures such as faucets, sinks, toilets, and water heaters
- Perform a variety of electrical repair and maintenance tasks involving facilities; repair, replace, and maintain electrical wiring, fuses, switches, motors, generators, lighting systems, and other electrical fixtures and equipment;
- install conduits, wires, pull boxes, and switches required in making additions, extensions, or alterations in electrical systems;
identify damaged or worn electrical components and takes corrective action as assigned
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience, Knowledge and Education :
- 2years of experience in building operations, engineering and equipment, and systems maintenance (Preferred)
- Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment related to facilities maintenance and repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot the operation of electrical pumps and motors
- Ability to adhere to safe work practices and policies, standard practices, methods, materials and equipment used in facilities maintenance;
occupational hazards and safe work practices associated with the work; operation and application of a variety of tools and equipment associated with the work
- Ability to recognize chemical products and their designated use and to read and comprehend Material Safety Data information associated with cleaning products
- Ability to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
- Advanced customer service skills to diplomatically communicate with customers
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently, excellent attention to detail
- Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof-reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients / customers
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
- Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment
- Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
