Shipping Coordinator
The position involves performing a variety of clerical warehouse duties related to inventory control, accurately packing and shipping parts to customers, and receiving incoming parts, equipment, and materials. The successful candidate will maintain physical bin inventories, inspect and modify incoming and outgoing parts, and ensure part orders are correctly shipped based on established procedures.
Responsibilities include :
- Assist with physical inventory management and cycle counting.
- Place received materials, parts, and supplies into correct locations or requesting departments, verifying products are in proper locations.
- Interface with Sales and Purchasing regarding incoming parts and outgoing orders.
- Manage physical inventory, including changing bins to accommodate new items or additional space.
- Modify parts as applicable.
- Perform general warehouse duties, such as receiving, parcel, and LTL shipping.
- Stage parts for multiple or single customer orders in Shipping, including removing items from inventory bins using a pick ticket.
- Accurately process removed items from the MRP system and compare identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against customer orders.
- Count items for verification and note discrepancies.
- Pack items in containers and wraps for shipment, using specified carriers such as Federal Express, UPS, and LTL.
- Prepare records of shipment and bills of lading.
- Experience with stockroom management, shipping and receiving, and order selection.
- Proficiency in data entry, packaging, Microsoft Office, and material handling.
- Experience with pallet jack operation, picking, UPS WorldShip, FedEx, ERP systems, and inventory management.
- Ability to conduct manual cycle counts and process orders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED.2+ years of experience in inventory control and shipping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Good communication and organizational skills.Ability to communicate and work effectively with co-workers and other department employees.Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
