A leading provider of advanced warehousing and sequencing solutions for the automotive industry is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team in Kansas City, KS . Key Responsibilities
- Support production teams by identifying and eliminating equipment and tooling downtime or scrap using data-driven methods.
- Develop and maintain Process Flows, PFMEAs, Standard Operating Procedures, and Line Balancing documentation.
- Ensure labor standards are achieved through effective assembly practices and ergonomic design.
- Implement and sustain error-proofing and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Optimize cell layouts and update CAD layouts as needed.
- Lead or support engineering and maintenance projects using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Prepare cost estimates and documentation for engineering changes.
- Address product, process, and system nonconformances with corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all engineering activities.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or technical certification required.Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly operations.Proficiency with AutoCAD and basic understanding of PLC systems.Skilled in time studies and labor analysis techniques.Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and management tools.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities.Additional Requirements
