Responsibilities of the Tax Manager :

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of tax professionals, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of tax services.
  • Manage and oversee tax compliance and planning engagements for a portfolio of clients, including but not limited to corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis, staying up-to-date with the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to identify potential tax planning opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Review and analyze complex tax returns and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and proactively identifying additional service opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments and professionals within our client's firm to provide integrated and holistic solutions to clients' tax and business needs.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior tax professionals, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax legislation, emerging tax issues, and industry best practices, and communicate relevant updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in business development activities, such as attending industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings, to promote our client's tax services and identify new business opportunities.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning within a public accounting firm, with a focus on corporate and individual taxation.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, and the ability to apply them to client situations effectively.
  • Proven track record in managing and successfully completing multiple tax engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative tax solutions to clients' complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior tax professionals.
  • Proficiency in tax software and technology tools, such as CCH ProSystem fx, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, and Microsoft Excel.
  • High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
