Human Resources, Director's Action Group Support Specialist

FTS International, LLC (FTS) is committed to providing the Federal Government with quality consultants and support. To ensure mission success we focus on putting our customers first while minimizing corporate bureaucracy on our staff. We provide Subject Matter Experts (SME) free of Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) focused on independent analysis and mission support services within the disciplines of Engineering, Counter Terrorism Operations, Management, Information Technology, Signals Analysis, Administration, Cyber Security and Linguistics. FTS is seeking an experienced Human Resources, Director's Action Group Support Specialist in Chantilly, VA.

Position Overview : The Human Resources, Director's Action Group Support Specialist will provide Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Director and Chief of Staff of a government Systems Program Office (SPO) responsible for space and ground acquisitions. This multi-functional Human Resources (HR) and Director's Action Group (DAG) support role will provide expert HR advice, support all office personnel matters (including appraisal tracking and quality checks, management of the awards program, support to hiring panels, tracking training completions and more), track and manage technical and personnel suspenses to completion, coordinate staff packages across the organization, and manage various tasking workflows through existing tools or developing new tools to improve office efficiency. This role will also provide Information Technology (IT) support to develop distribution lists, control accesses to shared resources and build and maintain knowledge sharing tools.

Responsibilities :

  • Support, manage and track and follow to completion all personnel actions for government personnel from various different agencies / departments for the Director including appraisals, the awards program, training program, hiring panels, onboarding and offboarding of all personnel
  • Manage sensitive personnel information while maintaining confidentiality
  • Provide quality and consistency check
  • Support, manage, and monitor personnel and technical task management systems
  • Assign tasks to actionees, track tasks to completion, conduct a quality check before packaging for leadership review and submit on-time responses
  • Develop and enhance tools to track the status of taskers / staff packages
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as needed
  • Conduct onboarding and offboarding of personnel
  • Develop and maintain office standard operating procedures
  • Coordinate staff packages internal and external to the office
  • Provide limited IT support to maintain Outlook Distribution Lists, grant and remove shared folder and knowledge management system accesses and build, populate and maintain office knowledge sharing tools (ex : update website pages)

Required Skills / Qualifications :

  • TS / SCI with polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field
  • Great interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner through both verbal and written methods
  • Outstanding customer service mindset projecting professionalism at all times
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure information provided is on-time and accurate
  • Strong experience translating / communicating senior leader messaging to lower-level leaders and personnel
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a dynamic, high paced environment
  • Willingness to take initiative and figure out what needs to be done while also able to accept leadership direction even if contrary to your recommended path forward
  • 7+ years relevant HR / DAG experience
  • Desired Skills / Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field
  • Familiarity with NRO HR systems and processes
