Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking an Immigration Associate with at least three years of employment-based immigration experience to join our Minneapolis or Seattle office. The attorney hired will assist with the preparation and review of non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings, including all types of nonimmigrant work visa petitions (L-1, H-1B, O-1, TN, E-3, E-2, etc.) and applications, PERM labor certification applications, EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 Petitions, I-9 and E-Verify advice. Dorsey’s immigration attorneys also support and train clients in immigration program management and compliance, and supervise the work of paralegal staff in recordkeeping and document preparation.

Qualified candidates will have :

At least three years of experience with a high-volume practice, including all types of nonimmigrant work visa petitions and applications, PERM labor certification applications, EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 Applications, I-9 and E-Verify advice.

A J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Minnesota or Washington bar admission, or the ability to get admitted in Minnesota or Washington

Excellent English writing skills

Ability to manage substantial case load

Ability to supervise paralegals

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills

Flexibility to meet the demands of our clients

Excellent team player

Strong academic background

Native Mandarin language fluency preferred.

For Minneapolis applicants only, the salary range for this position is $225,000-$265,000. Pay is determined based on depth of experience in the practice area. The individual hired for this position may have the option of electing a lower billable-hours track with a proportional reduction in salary. Associates are eligible to participate in Dorsey’s associate bonus program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
