Overview

Private music teachers provide music lessons about how to sing or play a musical instrument to students within school settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lessons in relation to an individual's needs and examination.
• Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources.
• Plan, schedule and execute private, individual instruction on their primary instrument or voice.
• Motivate students and encourage progress.
• Perform other duties as requested.
