Hospitalist

Job Summary

We at CHI Health are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist to provide comprehensive acute medical care at our Immanuel location. This role supports a busy and rapidly expanding program focused on excellence in hospital medicine.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Provide clear and concise medical information.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records and document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans; ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging).
• Perform procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives; review and analyze clinical outcomes and implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice and stay informed about regulations and compliance requirements.
• Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
• Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices; engage in ongoing medical education and training.
• Contribute to development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

Where You'll Work

CHI Health Immanuel – a 200‑bed hospital with a 16‑bed open ICU. Average daily census per physician is 15 with a built‑in referral base of 250+ primary‑care providers. The program offers 7 on, 7 off day shifts, optional procedures, and potential leadership opportunities in a collaborative and open practice.

Compensation

$150.04 – $150.04 per hour.
