Job Description
- Analyze financial data, including sales reports, profit margins, and expense forecasts, to identify trends and opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, supply chain, and product development teams to assess market dynamics, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to benchmark performance and identify areas for differentiation and competitive advantage.
- Prepare and present financial analyses, insights, and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress against goals and identify areas of concern or improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of pricing strategies, trade promotions, and assortment planning to drive sales and profitability in retail channels.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market dynamics.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support to various stakeholders as needed.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry or retail sector.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis; advanced Excel skills required.
- Solid understanding of retail dynamics, including pricing strategies, promotional tactics, and category management principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and analytical rigor.
- Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
