JOB SUMMARY :
Dignity Health Medical Group NV and St. Rose Internal Medicine Residency program seeks a primary care physician for its Internal Medicine Residency Continuity Clinic. This role involves direct patient care, ambulatory teaching, and clinical leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Clinical Leadership & Direct Patient Care :
- Maintain an independent primary care practice, providing comprehensive direct patient care to a panel of general internal medicine patients within the clinic setting.
- Actively participate in departmental and organizational initiatives aimed at standardizing equitable whole person care and improving health outcomes.
Ambulatory Teaching & Resident Supervision :
Provide ambulatory teaching and preceptorship to internal medicine residents and medical students, fostering their clinical skills, diagnostic reasoning, and patient management abilities.Assume direct supervisory responsibility for internal medicine residents and medical students during their clinical rotations.Guide residents in the development and execution of ambulatory-based quality improvement projects, promoting a culture of continuous learning and data-driven improvements..Programmatic & Institutional Contribution :
Serve as a role model for professionalism and integrate CommonSpirit Health's mission and values into all aspects of clinical practice, teaching, and leadership.#HEC
Job Requirements
Education & Certification :
MD or DO Degree from an accredited institution.Active Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in internal medicine or family medicine.Licensure :
Must hold or be eligible for Nevada State medical licensure.Experience :
Two (2) years of ambulatory general internal medicine or family medicine experience preferredNew or upcoming graduates of a PGY4 IM Chief Residency or ambulatory focused fellowship (such as geriatrics, addiction medicine or palliative care) are encouraged to apply
