We’re looking for a New Product Development (NPD) Engineer who’s passionate about innovation, craftsmanship, and the science of flavor. In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and launch of next- smokers and grill products for both consumer and professional markets.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of food equipment—integrating advanced electrical and control systems that elevate performance, safety, and user experience. From concept sketch to final production, you’ll bring bold ideas to life in products that make a real impact in kitchens and backyards around the world.

What You’ll Do

Lead end-to-end product development for new smoker and grill lines—from concept through production launch.

Design and integrate electrical systems including heating elements, control panels, sensors, and user interfaces.

Develop and validate temperature control systems, power circuits, and safety mechanisms compliant with UL, NSF, and food equipment standards.

Collaborate across mechanical, manufacturing, and culinary teams to ensure top-tier performance, food quality, and safety.

Build and evaluate prototypes to test electrical and mechanical functionality, user experience, and manufacturability.

Document and manage design reviews, testing, and engineering changes using established NPD processes.

Identify opportunities for cost optimization, performance improvements, and design efficiency.

Support pilot runs, validation testing, and production launches alongside operations and quality teams.

Partner with suppliers to source high-quality electrical components and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Stay ahead of industry trends in smart cooking, connectivity, and automation technologies to fuel future innovation.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , or a related field.

3–7 years of experience in new product development —preferably in food equipment, appliances, or consumer products.

Strong background designing and integrating electrical systems (heating elements, controls, sensors, power distribution, etc.) into mechanical assemblies.

Working knowledge of UL, NSF, and USDA standards and compliance requirements.

Proficiency with CAD design tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).

Solid understanding of thermal systems, materials, and safety standards related to cooking appliances.

Hands-on problem solver experienced with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electrical / mechanical systems.
