You will also play a crucial role in dental assisting._
- Technical skills should include but are not limited to :
- Dental Prophylaxis, Probing and Charting (Preferred)
- Dental digital radiographs (Preferred)
- Anesthesia experience : induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery
- Confident in setting up, running, and monitoring anesthesia
- Venipuncture and phlebotomy
- Administration of Medications PO, SQ, IM, IV
- Proficient in medical math
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pre-op and post-op patients
- Well-developed animal handling and restraint skills
- Work directly with owners from check-in to check out
- Superb communication skills with both clients and other staff
- Must thrive in a team environment
- Prepares the treatment area for procedures, including preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies
- Proper Use of Laboratory Machines for testing, such as PCV, BG, PT / PTT, In-hospital CBC and Chemistries
- Responsibilities :
- Utilizing standard office / business equipment.
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
- Flexible schedule
- Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Possession of organizational skills.
- Critical thinking. Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
- Assist the veterinarians with patient appointments, surgeries, and any other tasks that are needed. We are currently in search of compassionate, critical thinking, career-driven veterinary dental technicians. Candidates should possess the skills necessary to provide quality care to pets, have knowledge in veterinary medicine, and provide outstanding client service.
