Specialty Veterinary Assistant

Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center  is looking for a full-time  Specialty Veterinary Assistant  for our  Surgery Department  at our brand new state of the art hospital in  Waukesha , Wisconsin.

The Veterinary Technician Assistant provides key support to the technician and veterinarian staff.  Must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions.  Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.   Essential Functions :

• Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required.  Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed.     Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to : Restraining of patients Cleaning Kennels, Floors, Surgery Suites, etc.
• Stocking the treatment areas and surgery suites Laundry Taking patients outside and feeding patients as needed.

Assist in the maintenance of the surgery and anesthesia equipment and cleaning surgical instruments Assist in the preparation of surgical space and patients before surgical and non-surgical procedures About You :
