Job Description
The Case Aide is responsible for assisting the case management team with client case support and delivery of services. Success in this role includes flexibility with understanding and adapting to changing program and client needs. This individual should be prepared to offer support to the team as necessary to assist in the care of the children within the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide transportation to clients (and participate as needed) to any appointments, legal appointments, hearings, other social agencies, etc.
- Assist with intake and discharge related transportation to include travel from state-to-state for reunification with a sponsor.
- Assist the case management team with administrative tasks, including documentation and filing responsibilities.
- Participate in schedule clinical consultation and other team meetings to conceptualize cases and promote program development.
- Provide case management coverage as needed, with supervision from the program director and / or case manager.
- Ensure professional boundaries are established and maintained, especially when interacting with youth.
- Maintain an adequate knowledge of trauma and attend continuous training in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma-informed environment.
- Respect others and understand their needs and feelings, regardless of race, social, ethnic, and religious background; have an attitude and aptitude for providing nurturance, being patient, and accepting others.
- Regular participation in supervision meetings and team meetings for the sharing of ideas, feedback and department planning. Seek and solicit feedback. Provide feedback to the Supervisor for staff evaluations.
- Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee’s roles and functions.
- Observe professional confidentiality at all times : protect the rights of residents and their families and abide within the guidelines of the agency Confidentiality Policy.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
English speaking required, Spanish speaking preferredMust be 21 years of age.A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education and / or certification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field preferred.Prior experience working with adolescents with emotional / behavioral disorders, trauma histories preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently, self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks.Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions.Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service.Ability to work independently, self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks.Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions.Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance coverage.Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objectives of the agency.HOURS OF WORK : Monday through Friday, variable hours; on-call as needed.
