The Clinical Operations Manager oversees clinical partnerships to ensure high-quality placement opportunities for nursing students. This role manages partner relationships, identifies new clinical sites for all nursing programs, ensures compliance with accreditation standards, and supports student and instructor onboarding.
Working closely with academic and healthcare partners, the manager promotes the nursing program, coordinates clinical assignments, and ensures alignment with curriculum and regulatory requirements. Travel to clinical sites and strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities :
The following duties and responsibilities, but not limited to, are expected :
Relationship Management :
- In collaboration with campus colleagues and leaders, cultivate and maintain strong collaborative relationships with current clinical partners for students to successfully complete clinical rotations. This involves regular communication and regular site visits to clinical partners.
- Coordinates and attends healthcare related events including annual clinical consortium meetings and other related activities.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of Excelsior’s nursing programs curriculum and program offerings and able to clearly articulate to stakeholders.
Prospective Clinical Partner Identification.
Research and identify potential new clinical partners that align with the nursing program’s needs and standards. This includes working with university enablers to identify healthcare facilities that offer relevant clinical experiences to students based on geographic reach, and program requirements.Initiate and develop new partnerships with healthcare facilities. This includes outreach, proposal development and negotiation of agreements to establish clinical placements.Conduct needs assessment with clinical partners to understand their requirements regarding student placements.Position requires travel to current and prospective clinical sites.Compliance and Accreditation
Ensure all clinical partners meet accreditation and regulatory standards required by the nursing programs. This involves reviewing agreements, documentation and site evaluations to maintain compliance.Address any issues or challenges that arise with clinical partners such as logistical concerns, or compliance issues. This requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to maintain positive relationships.Request units and submit required documents to clinical partners.Attend partnership events.Promotion and Advocacy
Promote the nursing program and its students within the healthcare community to enhance visibility and reputation. This may involve advocacy for students’ clinical education needs and showcasing successful partnerships.Student and Clinical Instructor Compliance
Maintain student and clinical instructor database in Castlebranch.Oversee student and clinical instructor onboarding requirements.Support the student phone line for clinicals as well as clinical inbox for students.Prepare, document, and track clinical and practice experience assignments.Work with the team and other departments to ensure policies and procedures are followed.Other duties as assigned.The hiring salary range for this position is $60,000.00 – $64,000.00.
