Payroll Manager

Location : Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in office)

Salary : Up to $165,000

This is a rare opportunity to join during a genuine period of change - helping to build and lead a new US payroll function as part of a wider business restructuring.

Payroll Manager - Role Overview :

As Payroll Manager, you’ll oversee end-to-end US payroll operations while playing a hands-on role in shaping the processes, systems, and controls needed for long-term success.

You’ll collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure payroll is delivered accurately, efficiently, and compliantly - while guiding the transition to a new payroll platform.

Payroll Manager - Key Responsibilities :

• Manage all aspects of US payroll across multiple states.
• Lead and develop a small team, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Partner with HR and Finance to align payroll operations with business needs.
• Drive process improvement and support new system implementation.
• Ensure all payroll-related reporting, audits, and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
