Overview McCloskey Mechanical is seeking a highly experienced HVAC / R Technician with specialized expertise in Commercial Refrigeration Systems, Rack Refrigeration, & Glycol Chiller Systems .
The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of mechanical system diagnosis, troubleshooting, and installation across Commercial, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, and Institutional sectors.
This position requires a technically proficient individual who can operate independently, respond with urgency to complex challenges, and maintain a high standard of safety, reliability, and workmanship.

Core Responsibilities :
Diagnose and repair Commercial Refrigeration Systems, Rack Refrigeration, & Glycol Chiller Systems.Perform installations, startups, and retrofits of commercial / industrial HVAC and boiler equipmentTroubleshoot and service HVAC / R systems, including DX systems, chillers, AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, BMS / BAS controls, and related componentsInterpret electrical and mechanical schematics, control wiring diagrams, and equipment specificationsEnsure compliance with all local codes, safety regulations, and internal quality standardsMaintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company protocols.Requirements
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional HVAC / R and boiler serviceStrong proficiency in combustion analysis, control logic, hydronic system design, and steam principlesValid EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving recordSolid understanding of building automation systems (BAS / BMS) and control integrationExcellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently or as part of a technical teamBenefits
