Job Details
We are seeking an Association Attorney with experience representing condominium and homeowners associations in turnover and construction-related claims. The ideal candidate will guide associations through the transition from developer to homeowner control, while also handling construction defect and warranty matters to protect the community’s interests.
Key Responsibilities
Advise boards on legal issues arising during developer-to-association turnover
Review governing documents, contracts, and warranties for compliance and enforceability
Investigate, evaluate, and pursue construction defect and warranty claims
Represent associations in negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and litigation
Collaborate with engineers, experts, and board members to develop case strategies
Provide proactive counsel to minimize risk and resolve disputes efficiently
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) and / OR active bar license in FL
3–7+ years of experience in community association or construction law
Strong litigation and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
Ability to work independently while managing multiple matters
Ability to work mostly in-office (in Boca) - with an option to have 1 remote day weekly
