About The Position

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS (within 180 days of hire), TNCC (within 180 days of hire), NIHSS (within 90 days)
Must-Have : Previous charge experience, Epic charting system experience preferred
Description :
Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.
Includes direct patient care, patient / family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting.
Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area.
Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family / support group, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications.
Adheres to policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
Patient ratios are maintained at 2 : 1 for days, nights, and weekends.
Weekend coverage required every other Saturday and Sunday, with holidays as needed.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more.
Skills required include arterial line management, ventilator management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, and knowledge of medications and treatments for critically ill patients.
Additional responsibilities may include collaboration with rapid response teams and pharmacy services.
