This position manages and provides operational leadership and support in planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling the day-to-day operational functions related to food production. It involves planning, organizing, coordinating, and administering the activities of personnel engaged in delivery of food service and clinical nutrition care to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. The role also includes establishing protocols and practices to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and regulations, identifying best practices, standardizing workflows, and developing plans of action to implement changes. Additionally, it involves managing capital and operational budgets to achieve financial targets and developing partnerships with internal and external peers to facilitate collaboration on initiatives or issue resolution.

Job Description :

Education : HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Certification & Licensure : Serve Save Certified Certified Dietary Manager Upon Hire

Typical Experience : 8 years of recent relevant experience

Skills and Knowledge :

• Knowledge of food service production, administration, principles, and practices within a healthcare environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, coaching / mentoring, with the ability to motivate and engage others
• Thorough understanding of operations and workflows, and how the department's process / workflow impacts other department operations
• Demonstrates understanding of business and operational requirements
• Demonstrates ability to develop and manage a budget
• Demonstrates tactical and analytical thinking and planning skills
• Knowledge of emerging trends and how they impact operations
• Ability to build and establish effective working partnerships with employees, peers, and / or leaders to achieve business objectives
• General knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy
• Verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction
• Demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities
• Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results

• Working knowledge of wage and hour laws

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
