Civil Design Engineer – Actalent

Actalent is hiring a Civil Design Engineer to work on Port Authority projects in NYC. This is a permanent, full-time position based in New York City, with a hybrid schedule that requires office presence twice a week.

Job Summary

We are seeking several highly skilled and motivated Project Engineers with over 5 years of experience, and a Civil Design Project Manager, to join our growing office in New York City. The ideal candidates will have experience in rail and transit design, providing conceptual, permitting, and final designs for a transit project in NYC. The role involves providing engineering design services conforming to applicable codes and standards, and developing studies and reports for various stages of work. Candidates will also prepare technical specifications and construction cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Develop studies and reports for various stages of work.
• Prepare technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Deliver conceptual, permitting, and final designs for transit projects.
• Engage in roadway, transportation, and civil design projects.

Work Environment

This hybrid schedule requires presence in the office twice a week. The role is situated in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for quick growth.
